The fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise got too messy even before it reached the air. As reported previously, filming was halted after an incident of sexual misconduct allegedly took place on the set. Though specific details have not been revealed to the public, there have been various reports and speculations about the shocking scandal. Here's what we know so far:
According to Reality Steve
, the incident involves DeMario Jackson, who was recently eliminated by Rachel Lindsay on The Bachelorette
season 13, and Corinne Olympios, who competed for Nick Viall on The Bachelor
Both notorious "villains" got drunk and got hot and heavy by the pool, prompting a third party to file a complaint against production for misconduct over the incident she witnessed between Jackson and Olympios. As a result, several cast members flew out of Mexico on Sunday, June 11 while Warner Bros. has launched an investigation to look into the allegations.
However, the story just got very complicated. A source close to Olympios told TMZ
that she was drunk the entire day of filming when she ended up naked in the swimming pool with Jackson. Though Jackson remembers everything, she remembers nothing.
"We're told the day after the swimming pool incident she claims fellow cast members began telling her stories of what went down with DeMario. She says several cast members told her they had voiced concern to people on the production crew that she was in no position to consent to sexual activity, but the crew did not heed their warnings," said TMZ, adding that Olympios doesn't fully blame Jackson because he too was drunk but blames the producers of the show and has lawyered up.
On the other hand, Entertainment Tonight
reports that both Olympios and Jackson have not filed any type of complaint.
"Corinne says she doesn't remember much of anything," the source said. "After the incident with DeMario and Corinne, some producers were gone the next day and nobody knew why."
Jackson and Olympios reportedly spoke with a therapist on set. "They were pulled aside, other cast members weren't," the source added.
