On Big Brother 19 we've seen both a failed and a successful backdoor attempt. With week 3 will we see another plan that involves a replacement nominee, or will the HoH's target be put directly on the block?

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 19 spoilers.

Alex is the new HoH.

She nominated Dominique and Jessica.

Alex's plan is to take out Dominique. She has Jason, Ramses and probably Josh and Kevin on her side, and she also has a secret alliance with Paul who has approved of this target. Paul has worked on Elena, Matt and Raven to convince them that Dominique is an acceptable casualty and that she and Mark can't be trusted.

Of course that big majority alliance could find a way to come back together and flip the vote to take out Jessica instead, just like the Bomb Squad did when they saved Zach at the last minute and evicted Jocasta instead. There's also the Power of Veto, which could throw a wrench into everything.

Alex is putting a lot of faith in Paul this week and only time will tell if that's a good decision or a bad one. But since neither of the first two live eviction votes went exactly how Alex thought they would go, there does seem to be a bit of risk.

In a summer season, this is the first time that a female HoH has nominated two other women at the nomination ceremony since season 15, when Aaryn, Helen and GinaMarie all did it. Danielle Lickey also did this on Big Brother: Over the Top.
