The 2017 Emmy nominations were announced and once again, Dancing with the Stars is a top contender in the Outstanding Choreography category. For the fifth year in a row, Derek Hough is nominated for his work on DWTS. But he's not alone.

After four nominations for her work on So You Think You Can Dance, this year Mandy Moore receives her first Emmy nomination for choreographing on DWTS. She's actually a double nominee this year, also competing for her work on SYTYCD (as is Travis Wall). The fifth nominee in the category is the now-cancelled ABC sitcom The Real O'Neals.

For Derek, he is nominated this year for his thrilling "Kairos" routine that he performed in season 23. You may remember it as the dance with two Dereks as he engaged in a drum battle with himself.

Mandy Moore's DWTS nomination comes for two performances, from the beginning and end of season 23. First is "On Top of the World," the opening number of season 23 that started at the Griffith Observatory. The second was "Carol of the Bells," the Christmas-themed routine that saw a girl entering her TV.

Will either of them win the Emmy? Derek already has two Emmy wins, but Mandy Moore, the choreographer of La La Land, has never won an Emmy.
