is honoring the late Adam West by finally revealing one of the
legendary actor's final roles. West, best known for playing Batman on
the '60s TV series, guest starred on the NBC sitcom Powerless
, a comical look at ordinary people living in a world of superheroes.
NBC cancelled Powerless
after just nine episodes, leaving three unaired episodes left. One of them, the last episode of the series, featured West playing the chairman of the board at Wayne Enterprises. The full episode was released in YouTube to honor the actor, who died on June 9 at the age of 88.NBC Cancels Powerless>>>
In the episode, West's character arrives to ask Emily to fire one of her employees. Instead, she streamlines the budget which allows Chairman West to sell the company to LuthorCorp. There are some pretty huge revelations and changes that undoubtedly would've affected a second season.
And best of all, there are plenty of timely jokes about President Lex Luthor, who resembles a certain real-life current president, like tweeting in all caps about building a Space Wall that the aliens will pay for. There's also a stellar joke about how Republicans in Congress refuse to impeach him, even after learning that President Luthor literally tried to destroy the world.
Enjoy this final look at an underrated and underappreciated NBC comedy, plus the glorified cameo by Adam West.
