Wedding bells are about to ring for Bachelor
stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham, who just got engaged during the After the Final Rose
special, which aired the day after the season 22 finale in which Arie called off his engagement with Becca Kufrin. Unlike other couples from the reality dating franchise who opt to take it slow after the cameras stop rolling, Arie and Lauren are wasting no time when it comes to planning their future.
"We want to get married soon, and we also talked about eloping," Lauren told reporters during a teleconference on Wednesday.
"We've talked about running away to Vegas," added Arie, who is considering an evening wedding or a sunset wedding and even remains open to tying the knot on camera. "We talked a little bit about maybe doing a TV wedding if that works with our timeline."
While the guest list hasn't been finalized, there's one person who will certainly not make it. "Becca, she's not invited," he said, adding that he wouldn't mind inviting Lauren's other friends from the show.
According to the engaged Bachelor
couple, the wedding will happen this year. Lauren is expected to move from Texas to Scottsdale to be with the race car driver and will be working in real estate with him. "We're both very excited about marriage and starting a family," Lauren told People
Arie shares the same sentiments, telling the magazine, "We're so ready for this."
"Lauren told me I'm four months late on this proposal, and I wanted to give it to her and I wanted everyone at home to share in it," he added.
Are you surprised about their future plans? Do you think Arie and Lauren are moving too fast? Do you think they'll end up getting married?
