Not everyone who appears on The Bachelor are there for the right reasons and not everyone will admit it. However, Bachelorette season 13 castoff Lucas Yancey is taking a different route by confessing he did go on the reality dating show for fame.
In an interview with The Domenick Nati Show
, the 30-year-old contestant, who is known for his catchphrase "Whaboom," revealed his true motives to go on The Bachelorette
and what he's planning to do next.
According to Yancey, his interest on going on The Bachelorette was "50-50" in terms of finding love and making a name for himself. "Some people take it way too seriously. I wasn't there to get the next rose. That's obviously part of it, but it's mostly about being on the show," he said.
Yancey also revealed that he has owned the trademark to "Whaboom" for three years and recently came up with a song which he thinks "will be a huge summer hit."
Though Yancey is no longer on The Bachelorette, he has no plans to step away from the limelight. He says he would "definitely consider" Dancing With the Stars because he has "a lot to give to the world. Whaboom is just the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot more to bring to the table. You've just scene a glimpse of what Lucas Yancey can do."
